What is this competition?
The scientific poster competition presents you with the opportunity to showcase your latest research, on-going projects or innovative work in front of an audience of clinical laboratory professionals during the Egyptian Society of Laboratory Medicine’s annual conference.
The winner will also be awarded with a special prize that will be announced during the conference.
Posters are intended to provide delegates, visitors, and participants the ability to connect and engage with each other to discuss the latest topics and work in the field of laboratory medicine, pathology and diagnostics.
A winner will be announced at the North Africa Health Exhibition and Congress, taking place in second half of 2020.
How can I participate?
To participate in the competition, you can simply submit an abstract of your work as per the below guidelines before the 1st February 2020 and our team will get back to you if your abstract is selected.
If you are selected and want to submit your poster in a scientific journal, the price to participate will be 600EGP.
If you are selected and do not want to submit your poster in the journal, the price to participate will be 200 EGP.
The payment will be done onsite at the conference and paid directly to The Egyptian Society of Laboratory Medicine.
Poster guidelines:
Please supply an abstract of your chosen topic, which will include introduction, objectives, and conclusion. The abstract must be aligned with any of the below conference topics:
- Max 300 words, font size 11, Arial (font type).
- You may include 1 figure or table only.
- Be as specific as possible about the material you will cover on your poster.
- Descriptions that are too short or vague will be considered incomplete.

Abstract submission deadline: Saturday, 1 February 2020
Confirmation of accepted abstracts: Sunday, 16 February 2020
Poster submission deadline: Sunday, 1 March 2020
Announcing of the winner: Thursday, 9 April 2020
Please note that your abstract will be selected based on relevance, best practice, case studies and completeness of the required information submitted.
